The main island, Ly Son has three prominent craters, the largest of which is Mount Thoi Loi. Hydrothermal waters on Ly Son provide heat for the local power plant. The secondary island is known as Little Island and is also well populated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Remains of the pre-200 C.E. Sa Hu\u1ef3nh culture have been found on the islands. During the French protectorate, the official name of the island was Pulau Cecir de Mer. Vacationers can taste fresh Phu Quy's specialty such as sea urchins, king crabs, lobster, and snails.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although Phu Quy is an isolated island in the middle of the ocean, the discovered traces show that the island has been explored hundreds of years ago.
